About the painting LE RÊVE DE CENDRILLON

Her art unfolds like a world where poetry meets dream. Her palette, soft and ethereal, invites wandering souls on an immaterial journey. She draws her beauty from artistic creation itself, which acquires “a sacred character and a profoundly spiritual vibration.” For Lucila, to create is to live; to paint is to breathe.

Her canvases are inner landscapes, rich in detail, composing the narrative of an open book ready to be read. This is a cathartic form of painting — a mirror in which one may contemplate oneself in the light of the moon. Her work is influenced by the sacred and the symbolism of ancient Japanese, Chinese, and British cultures.

From there, it reaches others—through words, through images, and through everyone who chooses to share this journey with us.

LA TERRE VAGUE

In memory of Miguel Ángel Gutiérrez

Ten years after his passing, I wanted to write these words as a personal tribute to the artist and companion of a remarkable creative journey.

Some presences continue to shape us long after they are gone.

L'ESPOIR SILENCIEUX

L'Espoir silencieux, poetry and image seem to move toward the same silence. Words become sparse, gestures become essential. What remains is not an explanation, but a presence.

RENCONTRES
The encounter with the tree becomes an experience of presence, connection and silent transmission. It is an image that would continue to resonate through Lucila's own pictorial exploration, where roots, branches and foliage return again and again.

DESARREGLOS

Born in Brugo entre Rios, Argentina in 1943, Miguel Ángel Gutiérrezwas a poet, writer and teacher. After settling in Paris in 1974, he continued to develop a body of work shaped by a constant search for meaning, language, time and the inner journey.

Desarreglos is part of that exploration and ESPERANDO a choiced poem.

From the very beginning, Miguel's words met Lucila's images. Her illustrations do not simply accompany the poems—they enter into a dialogue with them. This conversation between poetry and image would become one of the defining threads of their shared creative journey.

This period of my life gave birth to works that continue to be part of my artistic journey.

Through this installation, I wish to pay tribute to Miguel and to share a creative journey woven from books, paintings, illustrations, poems, and archives.

Over the coming weeks, I invite you to step into this period of creation and discover some of the works that emerged from it.

Période Pourpre

A series of paintings and texts inspired by the literature and poetry of Heian Japan.

Throughout July, I invite you to enter a world that has accompanied me for many years.

Inspired by the literature and poetry of Japan's Heian period (794–1185), "The Purple Period" brings together paintings, texts and memories woven around the figure of an Empress, her court, and an absent traveller who will never return.

This series was born from my fascination with *The Tale of Genji* by Murasaki Shikibu, often considered one of the world's first great psychological novels.

Over the coming weeks, I will share fragments of this journey: paintings, poetic texts, characters and symbols that shaped this body of work.

A story of love, absence, memory and transformation.
